CREATIVE BREAKTHROUGHS
PART-FOUR: VERIFICATION
Lesson 11 – LIVING YOUR CREATIVITY
You’ve now reached the most challenging and rewarding step of your journey. In this lesson, you will turn your creative hunches and insights into reality by taking risks.
WORKBOOK EXERCISES:
TAKING RISKS
Think of what it is you truly want in your life. Is it having a deeper involvement in your work? Changing careers? Finding a lover? Expressing more of yourself to others? Learning a new skill? Whatever it is, ask yourself how you can actualize it. When you take a risk, you may be going against a habitual pattern. And you may feel dread rather than excitement and pleasure. Focus on the new spaces and new opportunities this risk may open up for you, and do it anyway. It’s perfectly fine to start small— such as ordering three pieces of toast. Take three risks every day for a week. Not only will this get you into the habit of risk-taking, but it will challenge your imagination in the creating of new risks. It will also bring you smack up against what it is you want in your life and what it is that holds you back.
After you’ve taken these risks, write them in your journal, giving a full account of what you did and what results you got. Also make note of what you learned by doing them.
